M-Star Health Tips

#1 Make a "Realistic" Work Out Schedule

Always plan your workout schedules in advanced, along with a back up plan to stay dedicated to your workout routines. Choose a time and day of the week dedicated to planning your meals and workout routine for ultimate success. Planning your workout sessions can also help you notice times where you are most vulnerable to distractions so you can avoid them in the future.

#2 Stay Hydrated

Make it a priority to stay hydrated throughout your workout and throughout your day because the human body is made up of approx. 70% water. Carry a bottle of water with you and eat fruits and vegetables that are high in water content like cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, lettuce and zucchini just to name a few.

#3 Stretch Muscles

Make it a priority to stretch your muscles before and after a workout especially if your body is not use to constant exercise. Stretching helps your muscles work more effectively and can prevent muscle injuries. It also helps you recover from a workout faster by increasing your blood circulation.

#4 Add Fiber

Adding a moderate amount of fiber to your diet can do much more than just help you maintain healthy bowel movement. It can help you lower your cholesterol, lower your blood sugar levels, lowers your risk of type 2 diabetes and can also help you lose weight. That’s right, adding at least 30 grams of fiber to your diet can help keep you slim and trim.

#5 Good Posture

Maintaining a good posture is not only good for your spine but is also good for your overall health. It helps reduce tension in your neck, shoulders and lower back which results in better blood circulation. What’s most important is that you maintain the correct posture when exercising. If you are not sure about the posture you should maintain during a specific exercise its best to hire a personal trainer or do research so that you avoid any workout injuries.

#6 Consume Less Sugar

Reducing your sugar intake can increase your chances of losing belly fat faster than having a diet high in sugar content while on an exercise program. Sugar is said to be the main source of inflammation in the body that can lead to more serious health conditions. Less sugar in your diet can also contribute to more stable energy levels, better brain function and clearer skin that can make some persons look younger.

#8 Regular Exercise

Avoid those expensive trips to the doctor’s office and get back on the path to good health with just 20 to 45 minutes of exercise three to four times a week. Regular Exercise lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease, improves your mental health, lowers the risk or type 2 diabetes, reduces stress, strengthens bones and muscles, improves mood and most importantly increases your chances of getting a good nights sleep. Many forms of cancer and disease can also be prevented with regular exercise.

#9 Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the ability of being fully present and aware of where we are and what we’re doing for an extended period of time. This practice requires focus, patience and concentration and can be practiced anywhere at any time. All you need to do is slow down the pace just a little and focus on one thing at a time to achieve its healing benefits.

#10 Breathe & Let Go

Breathing exercises are truly underrated due to the evident impact it has on our stress levels. Whenever your body and mind feels overwhelmed or restless try to concentrate on your breathing in a quiet place on a comfortable chair or laying down. An easy way to start is to count three seconds inhaling, then hold for two seconds and exhale for a count of four seconds then repeat for at least 10 minutes a day. Breathing exercises like this one offers numerous health benefits and helps reduce fear, worry and anxiety as you let go of the things you can’t change, accept those you can, and have faith in what will be.
