"Wholesome and Delicious Recipes for a Healthy You"

In this day and age we can all agree that knowledge on any subject can be found easier than ever before. So why not “do better, since we know better”? Too many people suffer from bad health that can be cured or reversed with healthier eating habits but lack the knowledge, discipline and support to do what’s right for good long term health.

Don’t get me wrong, ordering take out or eating out works great for special occasions or on those lazy days. We all need to get pampered once in a while but when it comes to long-term health, I’d rather take the time to prepare a heart healthy nutritious meal any day. As we get older we should get wiser, or at least act like it, but eating junk food and eating out twenty four seven, three hundred and sixty five days a year is obviously the worst way to maintain good health.

With the increased number of heart related diseases, high blood pressure, and hereditary illnesses like diabetes in today’s society, its mind boggling to see how fast food has gained more popularity over the years. The common misconception is that health concerns only occur in our older days but that can’t be further than the truth.

That's where we come in...

Action speaks louder than words, so at M Star Fitness Club there’s an entire section dedicated to  delicious healthy recipes that don’t take much time to prepare and guaranteed to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. The best part is that all that these recipes can also help you lose weight regardless of your diet.

Whether you eat meat or not, there are easy to make recipes for you. There are also recipes that may take longer to prepare but will totally be worth it in the end. Just make sure to select what you like and go through the nutritional content section in each recipe if you plan on using them along with your work out schedule to lose weight.  Vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians, persons who eat meat or are on a low carb or ketogenic diet will benefit tremendously from these amazing recipes. We are what we eat, so skip the junk foods and treat your self with the quality of fine, healthy dining that you deserve.

“Weight loss begins in the kitchen…but not literally..”

The biggest misconception is the belief that vigorous exercise for extended periods of time is all it takes to lose body fat and reap the benefits of exercise, but that cannot be further from the truth. In fact, the majority of effort needed to lose weight begins in the kitchen. Yes  you read right. Weight loss begins in the kitchen, but wait. Don’t start doing squats in front of your refrigerator as yet.

What we mean is that exercise only contributes to twenty percent of your effort towards losing those extra pounds. The other eighty percent requires your discipline to stick to an effective diet. So unless you have a hired chef or culinary staff on standby for customized meals to help you get in shape for an upcoming movie, it’s best to stick to an effective meal plan and cook at home.

Say good bye to those extra work out hours...

For persons who think the only way to get in the best shape of your life is to workout out for hours like the famous David Goggins, well I have good news for you. Once you eat right and exercise consistently at least three times a week, everything will fall into place like a domino effect and yes, you guessed right, you will lose weight.

Don’t get me wrong, David Goggins is on an entirely different level of fitness that I fully admire, but if you are not advanced in your training routine like he is, its best to work smarter and not harder. That doesn’t mean that you should go on a herbal tea binge and skip exercise altogether though. It means balancing a healthy diet catered to your fitness goals along with a good workout routine along with adequate sleep is the smart and most natural way to lose weight.

So you no longer need to wait in line or stay seated for almost an hour for an over priced meal. With your new found cooking skills its now possible to whip up a five star meal anytime of the day in rain or storm, once you have the necessary ingredients of course.

For those who already have good cooking skills then bravo to you. Now you have more recipes to add to the list and can also remix the ingredients to suite your taste buds. Once you don’t over do the salt and keep things healthy we support you all the way.

With more money in your pocket, there’s no doubt that your renewed path to better health will in fact increase your present wealth. Even if its only from gas or restaurant bills your future self with thank you with less frequent visits to the doctor as a bonus.

Benefits of Anti- inflammatory Recipes

First things first, let’s understand what exactly anti-inflammatory foods are. These are nutrient-rich foods that contain properties known to reduce inflammation in the body. Inflammation, although a natural response by our immune system, can become chronic and lead to a host of health issues like heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and even cancer.

The Benefits of Eating Anti-Inflammatory Foods:

  1. Boosting Immune System: Certain foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help strengthen your immune system. By incorporating these foods into your diet, you’re giving your body the ammunition it needs to fight off infections and illnesses.

  2. Fighting Disease: Chronic inflammation is often linked to various diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. By regularly consuming anti-inflammatory foods, you can help reduce inflammation in your body, thereby lowering your risk of developing these conditions.

  3. Reversing Symptoms: For those already dealing with health complications like arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease, incorporating anti-inflammatory foods into their diet can help alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being. These foods have been shown to reduce joint pain, improve digestion, and enhance overall quality of life for individuals dealing with these conditions.

Why cooking at home is a good idea?

Here are some of the main reasons why sharpening your cooking skills on a regular basis is not a bad idea.

  1. Health is wealth: You are what you eat, so why not use ingredients that contribute to a healthier lifestyle? By simply changing the oil you use for your favorite fried food recipes or adding different spices to your meal, you are now capable of reversing numerous medical issues that society faces on a regular basis.

Mindfulness: Manage your weight and avoid overeating by being mindful about what and how much you consume on a daily basis when you prepare your own meals. By being in full control of the amount of calories you consume it will be easier to manage your weight and reach your fitness goals.

Nutritional Awareness: Cooking regularly makes it simple to meet your nutritional needs and satisfy your taste preferences. When you cook often, you have the freedom to personalize any recipe to suit your liking. Plus, it helps you address any nutritional gaps in your diet, ensuring you get all the essential nutrients your body needs. So, not only does cooking at home allow you to enjoy delicious meals tailored to your taste buds, but it also contributes to a healthier, well-rounded diet.

Customization: You have the freedom to customize recipes to suit your taste preferences, dietary restrictions, or food allergies. This can be particularly important for people with specific dietary needs. If you have a sweet tooth for cakes and pastries then customized recipes would work wonders for you. Just replace those awful high carb sugary ingredients with low carb sweeteners and you’d be amazed at the result.

Cost-Effective: Cooking at home is generally more cost-effective than dining out. Preparing meals in bulk and using leftovers wisely can help stretch your budget even further. Treat yourself to meals that would otherwise cost an arm and a leg. All you need is a couple of minutes to an hour, and a couple of our carefully selected recipes to upgrade your home dining experience.

Skill Development: Cooking at home is an opportunity to improve your culinary skills. Over time, you can become more proficient and adventurous in the kitchen. Rome wasn’t build in a day so be kind to yourself and in no time you’d be cooking exquisite meals better that you’ve ever imagined. Keep in mind that simple is best when starting off, and later on as your skills improve you can add some extra razzle dazzle to your culinary creations.

Family Bonding: Cooking together can be a wonderful way to spend quality time with family or friends. It encourages teamwork, communication, and can be a fun and educational activity for children. Its also fun to see you siblings or loved ones get their hands dirty after being pampered by restaurants for so long. Now the only person they have to blame for the taste being off is themselves. On the other hand if its cooked to perfection that’s an accomplishment worth celebrating and most definitely worth eating.

Reduced Food Waste: When you cook a meal catered to your tastebuds in the comfort of your home, there’s more of a possibility that less food will get thrown away. Your refrigerator is close by so packing left overs right away would be a synch. Minimizing food wastage is not only beneficial from an economic point of view but will also establish a sense of discipline the more you become proactive with what you consume and how you consume it.

Safe Food Handling: Worrying whether food handlers practiced proper hygene will also be a thing of the past when you cook at home. Having concern for the safety of you, your family and anyone you cook for should be prioritized when preparing your home cooked meals. That way the risk of getting foodborne illnesses reduces drastically if not completely.

Remember, cooking at home doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming. Completing even the simplest of recipes will make you feel a sense of genuine accomplishment while satisfying your taste buds in ways you’ve never imaged.
